Donuts

One morning we came to class and there were several boxes of donuts sitting on the table. The lesson, to draw the donut in graphite (pencil), ink, and charcoal then eat the evidence. This was the first time I used charcoal. I was dreading the day that I would have to use charcoal because it scratches and squeaks and it’s dirty. This is still true of the compressed charcoal which I can’t stand to use, but I really love the vine charcoal. Below are the donut studies I completed.
